Oshkosh Businesses Collection
Photographs, newspaper articles and plat maps of some businesses that no longer exist in Oshkosh. Materials from the Oshkosh Public Library's Local History Collection and Photograph Collection were selected.

City Directories
Oshkosh Public Library has digitized twenty-nine city directories spanning the years 1857 to 1922.

Oshkosh Atlases & Histories
These digitized resources make up a comprehensive collection for research in 19th Century Oshkosh, Omro, and Winnebago County history. Two modern indexes, included here with the permission of indexer David A. Langkau, will also help the users find the information they need.

Winnebago County Rural Schools
A collection of photographs dating from the early 1950s of school buildings from across the county.

Main Street, Oshkosh
Postcards from personal collections show views of Main Street throughout the years.

Oshkosh@151
This electronic scrapbook consists of photographs taken by community members depicting Oshkosh at age 151. This project is a joint effort of the Oshkosh Community News Network and the Oshkosh Public Library. All the images will eventually be archived at the public library for future generations to see.

Photographs of kids & teen summer reading programs, author visits and other events that have been presented at the Library.

Oshkosh Local History Books
Oshkosh Public Library has digitized a number of local history books (mostly books of pictures).

The items were scanned as TIFF files on a Epson Expression scanner. Some images were resized and saved for the web using Adobe Photoshop and others were automatically resized by the CONTENTdm software. CONTENTdm, a digital collection management software tool, was used to create and organize the collection.

The images contained on this site are intended for research and educational use only. Duplication of any of these images for commercial use, without prior written consent, is expressly prohibited.
